HELPING WITH BASIC NEEDS
Our drop-in program is open Monday through Friday from 8am-3pm and is welcome to everyone. Whenever someone visits our drop-in Centre they will have immediate access to services such as:
- A healthy breakfast from 9 to 10 AM
- A warming/cooling Centre
- Brief services and support
- Housing support services
- Help filling out paperwork
- Community referrals
- Basic needs: A hot shower, clothing, toiletries, healthy food & snacks etc.
Of course, the most important thing that people receive when visiting the Drop-in Centre is acceptance, companionship, a listening ear, friendship and hope for a better future. All of our programs are designed to empower individuals and families who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness in our community and fostering a journey that keeps their housing safe or creates the shortest path from homelessness to housing.
Our drop-in program will be temporarily located at 54 Ross Street, Barrie (the Former Central United Church) from June 25th to October 31st, 2018 while we renovate our 88 Mulcaster Street location. Please donate to the Making Room at 88 Capital Campaign.
